Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first as a student at Stanford University. She had early successes with films like Pleasantville, Election and Legally Blonde. However, it was her role in the role of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde's big-budget smash that truly was the start of her professional career. In 2003 she debuted as a movie star in The Invisible Man. The television debut of her career was House of Lies Whitney. In addition, she has appeared in the films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Alongside her acting career she is also an accomplished painter and exhibits her work at several galleries.
