Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta however, her roots lie situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue the musical profession by performing and singing at church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music in Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You A House 12 came out only in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live shows. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. She was the main pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the choir leader of this theatrical production. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to perform as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
